Dublin Castle 2
Dublin Castle 2

Dublin Castle dates back to the late XII early XIII century and is located in the centre of the city of Dublin. The castle is a big tourist attraction which is steeped in Ireland’s tumultuous history. Different parts of the castle are currently used for a variety of purposes. Part was recently renovated and is used as a conference centre. During the time when Ireland was head of the European Union it was the venue of many meetings of the European Council. The Chapel Royal crypt is now used as an arts centre, and occasional concerts are held in the grounds of the Castle. The complex of buildings is usually open to the public, except during state functions. It is well worth a visit to this famous building!
