  About Hazelbrook Guesthouse

The Hazelbrook Guesthouse is a 3-star establishment located right in the heart of Dublin City. One of Dublin´s main streets, O´Connell Street, where the famous Dublin Spire is found, is just a few minutes walk away. Being right in the centre of the city, the guesthouse is also really close to so many of Dublin´s main tourist attractions such as Temple Bar, Trinity College, St. Patrick´s Cathedral, Grafton Street, the Ha´penny Bridge, St. Stephen´s Green, and the Guinness Brewery. el primer dia un lujo , habitacion amplia, caliente, no gran lujo pero suficiente, pero en la reserva del ultimo dia, nos cambiaron la reserva y nos llevaron a una trastienda B&B no autorizada poco limpia, muy fria, permitian fumar estando prohibido...etc

It was not possible to control the heating in the room as the radiator knob was missing and no replacement could be found. As the central heating was left on full blast all night (mistake from the night porter)and opening the window on our ground floor room to a dirty and undesirable yard was not an option, this led to trying to sleep in a sauna! The next day we were given a wrench to turn the radiator of ourselves, not exactly what you expect in a 3 star hotel! At breakfast we were served toast which had mould on it, this was naturally replaced after pointing this out to the kitchen staff. Despite this, I must say the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, this is typical of the relatively overpriced poor accomodation offered in Ireland and the U.K. If you can afford it you need to book a 4 star+ hotel to compare with the standards in the rest of Europe, especially in Germany.
